La bande originale du film a été l'une des plus vendues dans le monde, la chanson 'Time of my life' qui a remporté un oscar et qui fut reprise par les Black eyed Peas en 2010 en est un bel exemple. Dirty Dancing reste un film culte qui traverse les générations et fait partie intégrante de la 'pop culture'.
